This is a huge topic that will take some heavy-duty explanation. And remember, different people with different perspectives will have a different answer, but here goes:&lt;br /&gt;

Out-of-the-box SharePoint 2010 DOES have a set of basic recordkeeping capabilities (perhaps 70% of what a typical Fortune 1000 company would require), although it is not 5015.2-compliant capability.&lt;br /&gt;</content>
